Bed Wood and Parts, LLC is excited to announce their latest project! A 46 Chevy Panel Truck rightfully named "On The Run". With assistance from key partners the truck will make its debut at the 2010 SEMA show. It will be displayed in the Melling Performance Products Booth.
“On The Run” started out as a paddy wagon. Thanks to Problem Child Kustoms (who did the rendering) it has been hijacked and wildly customized. The body has been sectioned 3 inches with a 1½ tapered chop to give it the right attitude. Power comes from a 427 ci LS-2 with Edelbrock RPM XTreme LS series heads, a PSI blower, and Hilborn electronic fuel injection. Richmond tranny and Frankland Racing Quickchange differential complete the drivetrain.
The chassis is a highly modified 46 frame. Starting with the stock 3/4 ton, the frame was completely boxed. A Progressive Automotive x member C-4 Corvette front end and parallel 4 link rear end was installed. Air Ride Technologies Shockwaves keeps everything under control. Stopping power comes from a complete SSBC brake system. All wiring and plumbing is handled by Russell and Painless Performance, respectively.
House of Kolor is supplying the paint for the 4 color fade and Killer Designs by Darin is handling all the graphic work. Interior will be custom made with the dash and the floor being Goncola Alves, which will also be in the running boards. Along with being easy on the eyes "On The Run" will also be easy on the environment due to its E-85 compliance.
So check out the build following in future issues of Truck Builder magazine! We will see you at the show.
